What is DVA Community Nursing?

The Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) provides funding for community nursing services to eligible Australian veterans and their dependants. These services are designed to help veterans maintain their independence, health, and quality of life while living in their own homes.

As a DVA-approved provider, Valor Health delivers a range of community nursing services funded by DVA. We handle all the administration and invoicing directly with DVA, so eligible veterans pay nothing out of pocket.

Eligibility

Gold Card Holders

DVA Gold Card holders are entitled to a wide range of health and care services for all conditions, whether or not they are related to military service. This includes complex and high-acuity in-home clinical care, wound and continence management, diabetes support, and care coordination.

White Card Holders

DVA White Card holders can access community nursing services for conditions that have been accepted as related to their military service. Speak with DVA or contact us to discuss what services may be available to you.

How DVA Direct Invoicing Works

No out-of-pocket costs. Valor Health invoices DVA directly for all eligible services. You never receive a bill, and there are no gap fees or hidden charges. We manage the entire process, so you can focus on what matters — getting well in the comfort of your home.
